About Us
Black Hills Chapter of A.B.A.T.E. welcomes all riders and non-riders. We monitor local, state and federal legislation which could affect us as motorcyclists. Present and promote a better public image of motorcyclists. Help prevent accidents through rider, motorist and education. We have Legislation Days in Pierre in January, the Whitewood Social Hour event during the Sturgis Rally and support the Awareness, Training and Education for bikers and the public. You pay an annual membership fee ($25.) which includes a $4000 death and dismemberment insurance. You receive a chapter and state monthly newsletter via mail or email. Discounts on goods/services through supporting businesses. We strive to provide a means for independent riders to come together for a common cause, to exchange ideas and at the same time have fun with other area motorcyclists.
